BEND TRAIL SERIES

Welcome to the Bend Trail Series! This is a super fun group of trail running races held around Bend at different locations. Each Series offers four races, held every other Wednesday evening. The Spring Series is held May-June and the Falls Series occurs September-October. Each race covers a different, challenging course, ranging from 6-7 miles.

Runners that participate in at least three races in a Series are included in that Series' overall standings.

A post-Series party is held immediately after the final race at a Bend-area brew pub (TBA). There we will present awards to Series winners, hold a raffle and enjoy some well-earned craft beverages!

The Bend Trail Series will benefit the Central Oregon Running Klub (CORK).

REGISTRATION

2017 Spring Series (all four races) is $65. Runners not registered for the Series can sign up day of race for $20 per race, if spaces are available.

SCORING RULES

  • Every runner who finishes a Series race scores points
  • The sum of a runner's highest three finish scores will determine their overall score for the Series
  • Awards are presented to the top three male and female runners after the final race in the Series
  • Runners must finish at least three of the four Series races to earn a Series score

How the Trail Series scoring works:

The male and female winner of each race in the series earn 100 points. Every finisher behind the winner earns points calculated by dividing the winner’s time (example, 44:00 minutes) by their time (example, 56:00 minutes) and then multiplying the results by 100. So 44/56 x 100 = 78.6 points. Points are calculated separately for males and females.
